Bark Avenue was founded by Mike Calinoff, who served on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Iredell County for six years. The company was created to fill a void that Mike discovered while traveling with the NASCAR circuit for 14 years.
"I struggled to find someone who would care for my pets in the manner which I did," said Calinoff. "Sometimes just getting someone to show up was a chore."
So, when his tenure with NASCAR ended, he decided to bring pet care to a level that he always expected.
"It's all about our people," Mike says, "We have an amazing group of pet sitters and dog walkers who pass a rigorous background check and go through a lot of training. And everyone over-delivers -- all the time."
Mike's Other Company
Mike is a well-known figure in the NASCAR community. Most notably, he is a three-time Championship Spotter and with Matt Kenseth and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. He amassed 57 wins in the three top National Touring Series -- including two Daytona 500's.
